Nagata Organic Hojicha is grown by the Nagata family on their remote mountaintop plantation. One of only a few organic tea producers in all of Japan, the Nagata family produces their exceptional teas without the use of chemical fertilizers or animal manures, herbicides or pesticides.

The Nagata replenish topsoil with only rich and nutritious vegetable quality compost. Weed growth is controlled and soil moisture maintained by usinga natural mulch. Their traditional practices encourage a balanced plant and animal enviroment that helps minimize problems from inscts and other pests.

Nagata Organic Hojicha is a high quality traditional tea with a distinctive, smokey flavour and aroma. Hojicha is made from selec bancha tea leaves that ar gently roasted, then cooled and hermetically sealed at once to keep in their rich, appetizing flavour.
