Matcha (Precious Dew)
An aromatic & incomparable tea that is intense yet subtle.
Gyokuro tea is high in clorophyll as a result of unique growing conditions. The leaves are covered with cloths or bamboo curtains, under which they developed a rich green colour. Tea leaves are steamed, dried, then ground into a fine, bright green powder. matcha can be prepared in two ways. Koicha (orthick tea) has a higher ratio of matcha ppowder to water. Usucha (or thin tea) is made with less matcha. Pre-heat a tea bowl with hot water, in a separate bowl, and drink immediately.
Matcha latlé: whisk 1 tsp watcha into 1/4 cup of steaming water until disolved. Use water under the boiling point. Combine culth 3/4 cup steamed milk.
Serve in latlé bowl, matcha bowl or deep mug.Sweeten with honey or sugar if desire.
